Idaho Prosecutors File Death Penalty Intent Against Daybell
Fremont County prosecutors have filed the "notice of intent to seek the death penalty" in the Chad Daybell case.

FREMONT COUNTY, ID — Prosecutors in eastern Idaho have filed a "notice of intent to seek the death penalty" in the Chad Daybell case.
Prosecutors took the step after speaking with families of JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan and Tammy Daybell according to a statement from county prosecutors. Daybell has been charged in the deaths of all three victims.

"The nature and magnitude of these crimes warrant the possibility of the highest possible punishment," said the statement.
The decision to go forward with a possible death penalty applies only to Daybell. His co-defendant, Lori Vallow, continues with her case on hold pending a psychological evaluation.
