Welcome to the Father's Day edition of the Boise Daily. Happy Dad Day to all those reading this and we start with an opportunity to volunteer around the city and honor Larry Gebert Day on June 25. Sunday marks the start of PIKnik in the Park for those in need and family members continue the search locally for a missing Louisiana man. We invite you to take a look at the history of Boise's most famous landmark and the state is asking for input for where you want a charging station.

- Boise residents will come together on June 25 to honor Larry Gebert Day. The former meteorologist and community philanthropist will be remembered through various acts of kindness and volunteering through the City of Boise's Parks and Recreation Department. Boise Patch has included sign up opportunities including helping out at the Boise Zoo, Morris Hill Cemetery and Boise Urban Garden School. (Boise Patch)
- Many Boise residents face food insecurity during the summer months, especially children. KTVB staff report the PIKnik in the Park free meal program begins Sunday at Ann Morrison Park. The program offers pre-packaged lunches to Treasure Valley children and adults during the summer months. (KTVB.com)
- Several family members of Everette Jackson has arrived to the area to search for the 21-year-old Louisiana man. CBS2 news staff write law enforcement continues to search the Payette River for Jackson after he was last seen in the river near the Gem County Island Sports Complex June 11. Officials are searching the river starting at 8 a.m. until dusk. (idahonews)
- From almost anywhere in Boise, the Table Rock Cross is visible. LITE-FM's Michelle Heart takes a look at the history of Boise's famous landmark including the numerous legal battles the cross has experienced just to stay lighting the Boise skyline. (LiteOnline.com)
- If you won an electric vehicle or even thinking about the purchase of an electric vehicle, the Idaho Department of Transportation wants your input. The Idaho Capital Sun's Christian Lords explains the state department is holding a number of public meetings to determine the future location of charging stations across Idaho. Residents can also fill out a brief online survey to offer input. Idaho is scheduled to receive $30 million in federal money for the construction of charging stations. (idahocapitalsun)
