- There are thousands of local couples running around with his rings on their fingers. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports Lee Read died last month in Meridian. The namesake of a large jewelry store currently located in Meridian, Read opened his first jewelry store in downtown Boise, expanding the original to six stores along with catchy advertisements. Even after retiring and passing the business to family members, Read was known for stopping by the Meridian location to play piano during the holiday season. (boisedev.com)
- A former Meridian bus driver was sentenced after a conviction of felony injury to a child. CBS2 news staff report Leroy Morris will spend 180 days in jail followed by supervision for an initial charge of lewd conduct with a minor in 2021. (Idaho News)
- Beer and falcons are coming together. KTVB announces Garden City's Western Collective has announced Peregrine Falcon, the first red IPA in a series of beers brewed by the Idaho company in collaboration with the World Center Birds of Prey. (KTVB.com)
- Boise Patch may be able to save you some money. The City of Boise announced the Property Tax Rebate Program and applications will be open Dec. 1, 2022 – May 1, 2023. (Boise Patch)
- Our local Lions, Eagles, Knights and Braves did not make the list. But Idaho's "Boomer" almost grabbed the top spot, falling only to the Hodags. IdahoEdNews reporter Devin Bodkin writes voting was recently completed for Scorebook Live’s “Best High School Mascot in America” competition. Shelley High School' s russet-burbank spud placed second in the nation, falling to only The Hodags of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Idaho has a second team sneak into the top competition, the Mushers of Camas County. (idahoednews)
