- Idaho farmers can start growing and transporting hemp after the U.S. Department of Agriculture approved the state's plan. CBS2 has the story of a new commodity available to Idaho agriculture producers. (idahonews)
- The Boise Bench could soon see a four story apartment complex complete with underground parking. BoiseDev editor Don Day introduces "The Theodore," a series of upscale condominiums a developer hopes to gain approval for soon. (boisedev.com)

- The Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is one of the oldest and has been a wonderful tradition among birders for over a century. There are several CBCs in the Boise area. We’ll look at data from Idaho CBCs and how you can get involved. After the presentation, join Terry Rich and members of the Golden Eagle Audubon Society for beginner-friendly birding around the Foothills Learning Center. (9 a.m.)
- Timberline High School will hold a volleyball banquet on Wednesday for players and family members. (5 p.m.)
- The Boise City Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday morning. (11:30 a.m.)
- The Boise Public Works Commission will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday evening. (4 p.m.)
- The Boise State University Recreation Center is sponsoring a Find Your Passion in Healthcare Workshop. (5:30 p.m.)

Hemp production levels grew rapidly with new producers coming into the market. U.S. industrial hemp acreage reported by State pilot programs increased from zero in 2013 to over 90,000 acres in 2018, the highest acreage since 1943, when 146,200 acres were planted.
