- Facing up to the next 20 years of his life in prison after a conviction of rape, former Idaho legislator Aaron von Ehlinger has submitted an appeal to the Idaho Supreme Court. Idaho Capital Sun's Kelcie Mosely-Morris writes von Ehlinger's appeal states the Ada County’s Fourth District Court made several errors during his trial and sentencing. He was charged with the crime after a 19-year-old legislative intern stated she was forced her to perform oral sex and inserted his fingers inside of her without her consent. The former legislator was found guilty of the charges April 29. (idahocapitalsun)
- This year's largest wildfire, the 200-square-mile Moose Fire, started as the result of an unattended campfire and officials are now looking for who left the fire alone. CBS2 news staff report the blaze, still at only half contained, has resulted in the deaths of three firefighters and caused the evacuation of residents near Salmon. (Idaho News)

- Warm Springs Avenue, along with Harrison Boulevard, is the epitome of old money and luxurious homes in Boise. BoiseDev's senior reporter Margaret Carmel writes the recent growth of Boise has placed the City of Boise and the Ada County Highway District into disagreement over exactly what is Warm Springs Avenue. The street was originally Highway 21 and current residents want it switched to a residential street to allow for bike lanes, detached sidewalks and trees. (boisedev.com)
