Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- For some time, the removal of the air stations at Barber Park has been of interest. BoiseStatePublicRadio's Samantha Wright speaks with Robbie Sosin, the program and education specialist with Ada County Parks and Waterways. The county is asking to hear from residents on what is wanted in the county's park system. Additional picnic areas? Amenities to the Greenbelt walkway? The return of air stations? This is your chance to provide input. (Boise State Public Radio)
- And after a leisurely float on the Boise River, you will soon be able to pick up a new Lego set to take home and build. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports the world's largest toy seller is coming to Meridian. The company is hoping to add to their $8 billion in sales with a new store at The Village. (boisedev.com)
- CBS2 carries a story by the Associated Press the State of Pennsylvania has released to the public the search warrants involved in the murders of University of Idaho students Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. In the Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, home of Bryan Kohberger, authorities seized dark clothing, medical gloves, a flashlight and other items. Additional warrants are scheduled to be released Wednesday with Kohberger set for a preliminary hearing on charges in late June. (idahonews)
- Depending on who you ask, those living in the valley need more options to get around. Or the options we currently have are more than enough as shown by empty busses. KTVB-TV's Justin Corr speaks with both sides on the issue and took a bus ride himself. In the end, local voters will approve supplemental bonds and levies to fund how we get places. (KTVB.com)
- The classics, not the cheesy remakes, are making a return. KIVI-TV staff report the Select Cinemark Movie theaters in Meridian are hosting the Slash Into Spring event beginning Wednesday, March 1. All the classics are slated to be on the big screen including "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Halloween," "Friday the 13th," "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and "Child's Play." (kivi)
