- A group of Idaho legislators is attempting to come up with a plan to fund local school expansion and upkeep.
- A 6 year old without a criminal record is unable to visit his father due to a state agency's lack of staff.

Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- The Boise Daily starts today with a bit of disturbing news. Boise Patch carries news from the Boise Police Department of vandalism reports coming from two local junior high schools. Investigators are asking for the public's assistance as both North Junior High School and Hillside Junior High School sustaining thousands of dollars of damage to the lawn areas. (Boise Patch)
- We now switch to some good news if you are a traveler. BoiseDev managing editor Gretchen Parsons reports the Boise Airport is launching the CLEAR expedited security lanes. Once enrolled in the system, passengers can step up to a pod, scan their boarding pass, verify their identity with their eyes or fingerprint instead of pulling out an ID, and then be escorted to the TSA physical security/baggage screening by a CLEAR ambassador. - Saturday marks the 31st year the Nagel Foundation has partnered with the local Salvation Army to keep kids warm. CBS2 news staff report on Dress A Child Shopping Spree, a day when children are paired with an adult helper to spend $100 on warm clothes. (Idaho News)
- A 6-year-old son is unable to visit his father in prison due to a shortage of staff, according to KTVB-TV staff. The boy's background check was submitted in May, but our local prison has failed to process the application due to shortages according to a department spokesperson. The state agency has plans to add 73 correctional officers in an upcoming academy. (ktvb)
- The majority of Idaho lawmakers agree local schools need some help with financing school construction and upkeep. However, according to idahoednews reporter Kevin Richert, how to fund schools is a job debated currently by a House-Senate working group. The group is attempting to narrow down a number of options to three for presentation to the Idaho Legislature. (idahoednews)
