Welcome to the Friday edition of the Boise Daily. A local family has some closure after a drowning victim's body was recovered at Lucky Peak. A high-speed chase in Kuna has ended with the death of two individuals with the investigation continuing. Boise will soon be able to combine doughnuts and ice cream, and a historical location in Boise takes prime billing in a movie.   1. After two weeks of extensive searching, the body of a teen has been recovered at Lucky Peak. CBS2 news staff report the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced on social media Bobby Sichilailuck "went home today." The 16 year old had been missing since involvement in a jet ski accident. (Idaho News)
  2. Two local people are dead after a police chase in Kuna Saturday evening. KTVB-TV staff carry the story Meridian police attempted to stop Ruben Garcia near the corner of Meridian Road and East Central Drive. He was pursued after fleeing, driving the wrong way on Main Street. Garcia avoided spike strips and crossed into oncoming traffic during the pursuit, hitting a pickup. Garcia was declared dead at the scene and the driver of the pickup, 28-year-old Jonathan Calderon, died at a local hospital. (KTVB)
  3. Boise can prepare for SMASH donuts. BoiseDev reporter Autumn Robertson announces Yonutz will open a location in Boise by the end of August. Yonutz is known for their dessert of a scoop of ice cream in between a doughnut and hot pressed with toppings. (boisedev.com)
  4. Over the years, a few movies have been filmed around Boise, but the capital city is not well known as a movie mecca. That may change as MIX106's Chris found a new horror movie on Amazon Prime filmed right here at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. 'Paranormal Prison' is the fictional story of a group of believers and a skeptic investigating paranormal activities in an abandoned prison. (mix106radio)
  5. Since 1993, Boise residents have gathered for some great food at the Boise Soul Food Festival. After a 20-year run, the festival took a five-year hiatus before returning in 2017. In one week, food and music once again welcome Boise fans at Julia Davis Park. From Boise's Marissa takes a look at the long history of the festival and posts the schedule for the fun. (fromboise)
