Nicholas J. Campbell, 30, faces charges of battery with intent to commit a serious felony, infliction of great bodily injury, and concealment of evidence in the case. The charges stem from a November 30, 2018 incident when a victim was running on West Brogan Drive. A man grabbed her from behind and placed her in a chokehold. She ultimately lost consciousness before being sexually assaulted.

For two years, no arrests were made until DNA evidence matched Campbell to the crime. He was extradited from Utah and is currently being held in the Ada County Jail on $1 million bond.

During a court appearance Wednesday morning, Campbell's attorney requested and was granted additional time to review evidence before allowing Campbell to enter a plea. The judge granted the request with Campbell's next appearance set for June 2.
