  1. Brad Little stood on the steps of the Idaho State Capital in Boise and officially took his oath of governor for his second term. The IdahoCapitalSun's Clark Corbin joined the crowd on Friday as Little gave a 6-and-a-half-minute speech discussing his love of Idaho and thanking Idaho's previous governors, four of whom were in attendance.   2. A house fire broke out early Friday morning near Vista and Cassia in Boise. CBS2 news staff report there were no injuries as the homeowners were not in the residence at the time the fire started. The cause of the fire is unknown. (idahonews)
  3. Boise residents living near Vista Avenue will soon be able to grab some chicken fingers. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes Guthrie’s Chicken plans to expand with a restaurant and drive-thru at 1103 S. Vista Ave., across from Vista Village. Once open, the restaurant's famous "gut box" will be an offering. (boisedev)
  4. Idaho's new attorney general is already making moves. KTVB-TV carries a story by Idaho Press reporter Carolyn Komatsoulis that Raúl Labrador moved to dismiss trespassing charges in the case against Sara Brady, a Meridian woman who went to a closed playground in April 2020 and asked police to arrest her. Meridian Mayor Robert Simpson and Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea both issued statements blasting Labrador's decision. (ktvb)
