- Everyone is invited as newly elected officials come together on Monday, Jan. 9 for a swearing-in ceremony. Boise Patch has all the information of where and when to meet and those who will be in attendance. (BoisePatch)
- The man responsible for shutting down the Connector on Tuesday, Jan. 3 has been released from the hospital and is now in the Ada County Jail. KTVB-TV staff report 48-year-old Harry Andrews is charged with aggravated assault, after police said he refused commands and pulled out a weapon. Andrews was shot by police during the altercation and transported to a local hospital for treatment. (KTVB)
- Oops. Although city employees were at home on Monday, Jan. 2, the doors to the main and all branches of the Boise Public Library opened up for business. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports four or five people entered the main library due to the glitch before police arrived and shuffled them out. (boisedev)
- The news surrounding the Moscow murders will soon come to a screeching halt, at least formally. CBS2's Mickaela Elich reports Latah County Magistrate Judge Megan Marshall signed a non-dissemination order in the case against the Moscow murder suspect Bryan Kohberger. Investigators, law enforcement, attorneys, and agents of the prosecuting attorney or defense attorney are now prohibited from speaking with the media or public regarding the case. (idahonews)
- Garden City may not have a world-famous art museum, but FromBoise's Marissa takes a look at the many murals in the city courtesy of the PlaceMaking Fund. As an added bonus, Marissa also looks back at the history of Garden City, once the Las Vegas of Idaho complete with gambling and adult bookstores. (fromboise)
