- Boise small businesses could receive $4,000 if the pandemic is still causing a downturn in receipts.
- Boise schools are seeing fewer students through the doors this year, the lowest number since 1990.
- The city is offering real time updates on the conditions of trails in the Boise Foothills.

Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- Boise Patch is pleased to pass on the information the City of Boise has opened grants for local small businesses continuing to suffer the impacts of the pandemic. The city has approved $2 million in American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds for very small businesses in Boise. In partnership with United Way of Treasure Valley, the city will distribute mini grants in the amount of $4,000 to businesses that have fewer than 20 employees and sales under $1 million per year. - The Moscow Police Department has released a map showing a timeline of the four students murdered early Sunday morning. The Moscow-Pullman Daily News carries the new map along with information on a tip line and a new email set up for tips. The Idaho State Police is also asking for information related to the crime. Autopsies on the four victims have concluded all were stabbed to death using one weapon, still not identified. (dnews)
- New pajamas are always a great holiday gift. CBS2 news staff report employees of Larry H. Miller Dealerships delivered more than 300 pairs of pajamas to the Boise Rescue Mission to include in Christmas Care packages. (idahonews)
- For the seventh consecutive year, fewer students are enrolled in the Boise School District. IdahoEdNews reporter Carly Flandro shows the numbers around Idaho, including Boise. The enrollment in the capital city now sits at the lowest since 1990. West Ada continues to lead the state in student numbers as 38,726 kids walk through the doors daily. (idahoednews)
- If you are thinking of taking the dog for a walk or grabbing a hike in the foothills, KTVB-TV's Joe Parris reports the city now has a website showing real-time updates on trail conditions. Users can also leave comments on if a section is too muddy or just right. (KTVB.com)
