  1. With Mother's Day on the horizon, one Boise business is attempting to help women staying in women and children's alliance shelters (WCA). CBS2 news staff report Two Men and a Truck are holding Movers for Mom, a chance to donate items to those in need. (Idaho News)
  2. Saturday marked the unveiling of the World Center for Birds of Prey remodel. Just 15 minutes from downtown Boise, FromBoise's Marissa takes readers on a tour of the facility and what you can expect to see on a trip to the facility. Open Tuesday through Sunday, a highlight is the the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center which shares so many stories, bits of history, current and past projects, and houses even more birds.   3. Jumping out of the Boise area for a story, a former Idaho State Police trooper turned himself into authorities in Kootenai County in connection to the murder of his then-wife back in 2021. KTVB-TV's Brianda Perez reports 57-year-old Daniel Charles Howard already has three past felony charges stemming from Howard's reaction to learning his wife had been having an affair with their Athol neighbor. An earlier search of his residence found stolen ISP ammunition and a fraudulent title for a motorcycle. (ktvb)
  4. The Boise Public Library, the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs--and many other local partners-are inviting children of all ages are welcome to take part in 'Dia de los Ninos' at Cecil D. Andrus Park, right in front of the Idaho capitol building on April 30. KIDO-AM's Mateo reports the free event will offer a chance to children to win bikes along with a free reading tent.   5. Summer is coming and that means grabbing a bite from a food truck. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports a popular food truck park, the Switchback, will soon be permanently set up in Barber Valley.
