- Moving is not fun for anyone, but few of us lose our jobs. KTVB-TV staff report Lisa Sánchez has lost her Boise City Council seat after moving out of District 3. Sanchez states she was only provided five weeks to move from a rental and was unable to secure a new residence within her district. (KTVB.com)
- The victim of a rape has settled in a $200,000 amount with the state. The IdahoCapitalSun's Ruth Brown reports the former intern of ex-Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger, convicted of rape and currently serving a 20-year prison sentence, has come to an agreement for the above amount. (idahocapitalsun)
- A Meridian woman has been indicted for stealing more than $1.7 million from a local irrigation district. KIVI-TV staff write Catherine Skidmore, 55, has been charged with 25 counts of wire fraud and 24 counts of money laundering. Skidmore was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Black Canyon Irrigation District. Her trial is scheduled for March 13. (KIVI)
- A first-time legislator has an interesting method of introduction. HeyBoise's staff reports Rep. Jack Nelsen, R-Jerome, introduced himself to his new colleagues on the House Agriculture Committee by stating, "“I’ve milked a few cows, spent most of my time walking behind lines of cows, so if you want some ideas on repro and the women’s health thing, I have some definite opinions.” (HeyBoise)
- A federal grand jury has indicted a Nampa man with distribution of fentanyl resulting in serious bodily injury or death. Tanner Lee Goldforth, 36, is alleged to have knowingly and intentionally distributed a fentanyl-containing substance that resulted in the death of the victim on May 17, 2022. (idahonews)
