- Boise is welcoming to visitors, but a recent one was removed from town. KTVB-TV staff report an elk was found roaming through Columbia Village. With the assistance of Idaho Fish and Game personnel, the elk was shown the way home. (KTVB)
- As we pass by Halloween on Monday, next up is Thanksgiving. One of the items on your table may be in short supply according to KIVI-TV's Nicole Camarda. Due to keeping birds inside for an extended time to protect from bird flu and out hot summer temperatures, finding a local bird for the family may be more difficult. (KIVI)
- Monday night will see the city's share of spooky creatures all out looking for treats. Boise Patch and the City of Boise offer up some Halloween safety tips. (Boise Patch)
- A Nampa man is dead after a shooting late Saturday night. CBS2's Luke Randle reports the incident took place in the 4600 block of Stamm Lane. When officers arrived, one man was found shot who later died at a local hospital. The isolated incident was the result of a disturbance between two parties that knew each other. Both parties have also been identified. (idahonews)
- Idaho will not participate in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior surveys that reach more than 80,000 students. IdahoEdNews carries a story penned by Daniel Chang, Kaiser Health News, reporting Idaho previously used the CDC survey data when they applied for and received $11 million in grants for a new youth suicide prevention program called the Idaho Lives Project.
