Here are the top three stories in Boise today:

  1. Idaho students will benefit from a new program called "Semiconductor for All," which aims to enhance their understanding of the semiconductor industry and equip them with the necessary skills for future careers. The initiative, funded by an Idaho Workforce Development Council grant, will be led by Boise State University and span from elementary school to Ph.D. level education. Students will have access to courses, outreach programs, and hands-on experiences, allowing them to make informed decisions about their educational and career paths in the field of technology and innovation. (Idaho Business Review)
  2. Micron, a technology company, has started construction on a childcare center near its headquarters in Boise, in response to employee feedback about the need for accessible and affordable daycare. The center will be operated by the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and will provide high-quality childcare with a STEM-based curriculum. Micron aims to alleviate the stress and challenges faced by working parents, promoting a supportive work environment that considers employees as whole individuals. (KTVB 7 News)
