- This year's Halloween will be even nuttier. CBS2 news staff announce the Planters brand NUTmobile vehicle will be in the area for three events and will be staffed by three verified Peanutters. (Idaho News)

- Attorneys general representing a number of states have asked local grocery giant Albertsons to hold off a large dividend payment next month. BoiseDev editor Don Day reports the legal minds state the payment, estimated at $4 billion, “could be a massive improper giveaway to certain shareholders.” (boisedev)
- Here is good news for those driving pickups or large SUVs. Boise State Public Radio carries a story by KUNC's Emma VandenEinde reporting gas prices are dropping throughout the Mountain West. The American Automobile Association reports that the national average price has dipped 9 cents over the last week and predictions are that most states in the Mountain West will see a price drop of 10 to 20 cents by early November.
