- Lawyers for death row inmate Gerald Pizzuto are asking a federal court to block the upcoming December execution. KIVI-TV forwards an Associated Press story reporting documents were filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Idaho for a preliminary injunction halting the state’s death warrant, issued last week. Pizzuto is scheduled to die Dec. 15, but the Idaho Department of Correction has stated the needed chemicals for execution are not available. Included in the documents filed are also arguments allowing a spiritual advisor in the death chamber. (Idaho News 6 Boise Twin Falls)
- Four local families returned home to bad news. Boise Patch carries information from the Ada County Sheriff's Office of thieves breaking into unoccupied homes in North Ada County over last weekend near Spurwing Country Club. The thieves smashed glass doors to gain entry into the homes. (Boise Patch)
- Apartments may soon replace fish. BoiseDev editor Don Day updates information on plans for an apartment complex on Cole and Franklin roads in the Boise Bench, near Boise Towne Square. The new plans show a slightly shorter building with an updated configuration for the location currently housing a bookstore and bail bonds business, and the Aquarium of Boise. (boisedev.com)
- The U.S. Senate recently passed the Respect for Marriage Act with Idaho’s senators, Mike Crapo and Jim Risch, both voting no. KTVB-TV's Joe Parris forwards comments from both the state's senators on their votes and also speaks with Donald Williamson, executive director for Boise Pride. (KTVB.com)
