Here are the top three stories today in Boise:

  1. A temporary bar called the Front Street Lounge is set to open on Front Street in Boise. The lounge, operated as a pop-up, will be located in the former Voicebox Karaoke space near The Warehouse Food Hall. It will operate only 12 hours per week on Fridays and Saturdays, offering cocktails such as the Front Street Rita and Maple & Cardamom. The lounge is associated with Hotel Renegade, a forthcoming hotel by Hendricks Commercial Properties. (Boise dev)
  2. Ongoing construction projects in Downtown Boise are causing challenges for local businesses, particularly regarding parking and limited access. The City of Boise's Economic Development team aims to address these issues by coordinating with local agencies and implementing policy changes. The team's efforts include sharing information about future projects, creating special traffic control requirements, and maintaining pedestrian access during construction. (Idaho 2 News)
  3. The newest addition to Boise Parks and Recreation, Hawkins Range Reserve in the Foothills has officially been open for one month! Remember, dogs must be on leash in this area until Jun. 15 to help protect wildlife passing through the area at this time. You can learn more about the new trail and trailhead here.
