Here are the top stories in Boise today:

  1. A Boise teen has been identified as a body found in a creek in Moscow, Idaho. Lewiston Tribune staff report 19-year-old Hudson Lindow was found Sunday morning in Paradise Creek near College Avenue in Moscow. Foul play is not suspected at this time, according to the story. (lmtribune)
  2. An empty lot on the Bench, formerly home to a Fred Meyer store, could soon house 108 families. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes a California developer wants to build a 108-apartment complex on the land, formerly home to a retail store on Overland Road and Phillipi Street. For old timers of Boise, this was where Grand Central and Welles operated. The building was torn down in 2009 and has remained bare land since that time. (boisedev.com)
  3. You could well be voting on an education proposal in November. Reclaim Idaho, a grass roots organization supporting education, has reported nearly 97,000 signatures have been gathered to place the idea of adding a 4.5 percent income tax to those making above $250,000 on the ballot. The estimated $323 million would be given to schools according to Boise State Public Radio's report filed by Troy Oppie. The state's corporate income tax would also be returned to 8 percent under the ballot initiative. (Boise State Public Radio)

  5. Boise high school baseball players will have the opportunity to play against some minor league players as the Boise Hawks have announced a two-game series in May. CBS2 news staff report tickets are available online now or at the Memorial Stadium Box Office. (Idaho News)
