Welcome back, Boise! It's Friday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on in Boise today.

With the snow and ice and cold temperatures here, the Boise School District has some helpful hints for keeping the little ones safe. The City of Boise and the Boise Art Museum have haggled over the lease of the art museum building for years and now, the problem is coming to a head. If you wish to work for the city, vaccinations are a must very soon. The state has taken action against over two dozen educators for a number of problems this year, and we offer 30 great Christmas trees for your enjoyment.

  1. We just have a few days until the kids grab those special days off for the holiday break. With the winter weather now in place, the Boise School District is sending out some helpful tips on keeping students safe before and after the break. (Boise Patch)
  2. The City of Boise staff have been ordered to withhold any financial support to the Boise Art Museum. The move comes, according to BoiseDev senior reporter Margaret Carmel, after the two sides failed to come to a lease agreement on the museum's building. The city recently standardized its lease policy for nonprofits, an amount the museum in unwilling to fork over until an appraisal on the building is completed. (boisedev.com)
  3. Staying with city government news, if you wish to be an employee of the city, you will need to be vaccinated. CBS2 news staff report starting Jan 3, 2022, the City of Boise will be requiring COVID-19 vaccines from all newly hired employees. (Idaho News)
  4. Some committed a felony. Others had sexual conduct with a minor. Still others had a substance abuse issue while on the job. IdahoEdNews reporter Kyle Pfannenstiel looks at the over two dozen educators disciplined last year around the state. (idahoednews)
