Welcome to the mid-week edition of the Boise Daily. An Idaho lawmaker is proposing cities not have the authority to control rental and application fees. There are 50 new bicycles on the road today thanks to a local organization and the Public Utilities Commission has some new faces. Some new businesses are coming to The Village in 2022 and a local restaurant owner has passed.

Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- A Meridian lawmaker has introduced a bill prohibiting local governments from regulating fees or deposits for residential rental property. Meridian Republican Joe Palmer acknowledged his bill, if passed, would wipe the City of Boise's current law off the books. (KTVB.com)
- The Boise Bicycle Project used Martin Luther King Day to deliver 50 bikes to children in the community. CBS2 news staff reports children receiving the donated bikes range from 3-year-olds to teens. (Idaho News)
