Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Boise Daily. A small-town cafe is drawing interest from many to stay open after announcing closure. Hawks Memorial Stadium is ready for baseball fans with some new upgrades, and a local grocery store has announced a recall. The high country still has snow for the upcoming long weekend, and some new homeless dogs and cats are looking for a new family.

- Many eateries in Boise open and close with little concern from locals. In a small community just 45 minutes from Boise, the loss of the town's lone restaurant has spurred donations from many, so the big breakfasts remain coming to the tables. KTVB-TV publishes a story originally written by Idaho Press reporter Teddy Feinberg about Nathan's Greenleaf Cafe. (KTVB)
- Boise summers translate to Boise Hawks baseball. BoiseDev editor Don Day updates fans on the new upgrades this year to Memorial Stadium, home of the Hawks. A new beer garden is ready for thirsty fans and kids to the game will have an expanded play zone. Those attending games will be able to see just how fast that pitch was on the scoreboard and for those looking for pennants or shirts, a new merchandise store will be open. (boisedev)
- If you have stopped at an Albertsons needing a quick meal, take note. CBS2 news staff forward the news the grocery giant has issued a recall of seven ReadyMeals and deli-prepared products. Those with a bacon topping may contain metal pieces. (idahonews)
- The Memorial Day Weekend is approaching with Boise residents preparing for the start of the camping season. KBOI radio reports Forest Service management warns those heading for the hills that some areas are still closed due to snow. On a personal note, I can never recall having access to Trinity Lakes or Deadwood Reservoir in May. (kboi)
