Semi Driver Over Twice Legal Limit In Deadly Crash
An Arizona semi-truck driver has been charged in an incident that killed another driver Wednesday evening on State Street.

BOISE, ID — An Arizona semi driver is in custody and a 22-year old man is dead after a crash occurred Wednesday evening.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office state Cecelio Eliut Camacho-Montoya, 32, of Arizona, ran a red light at a high rate of speed at the intersection of State Street and Highway 55. His semi hit a pickup truck traveling on State Street with the impact hurling the driver, a 22-year old male, from the vehicle. The semi split apart and hit multiple concrete barriers.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
At the scene, Camacho-Montoya told deputies he drank several beers and subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He later registered a .22 blood alcohol level, more than double the state's legal limit of .08.

Camacho-Montoya remains in the Ada County Jail with charges of felony vehicular manslaughter and felony excessive DUI filed against him. He was scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Thursday.
The name of the victim involved has not been released.
