  1. The City of Boise has issued a statement after statements made by a former Boise Police captain came to light. Boise Patch carries the press release made public by the city calling "the actions and words of former BPD Captain Bryngelson relating to persons of color in our department and in our community to be offensive and troubling."   2. We all say we wish to buy local, but so many times it is just easier to go online and wait for the delivery. FromBoise's Marissa introduces goodbuy, a Boise-based company looking to make shopping easier from local businesses. Goodbuy is a browser extension, showing you a local business when you are shopping for a particular item.   3. A Garden City man was shot by Boise Police after he pulled a knife on them during an arrest. KTVB-TV staff report Jeremy Waste, 30, was wanted due to an earlier stabbing incident. When officers approached him in the Columbia Village area, Waste attempted to assault the officer. Waste was treated at a local hospital for his injuries and transported to the Ada County jail on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and an enhancement for use of a deadly weapon.   5. Those living on Broadway Avenue will soon have new neighbors. BoiseDev's Autum Robertson writes a Denver company is building a 40-unit project with a mix of one and two-bedroom units, with 29 one-bedroom and 11 two-bedroom units. (boisedev.com)
