  1. Ski season is just around the corner and if you are looking to purchase some gently used equipment or sell some boots or poles no longer needed, Expo Idaho is the place to be this upcoming weekend. CBS2 news staff report the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation (BBSEF) is hosting the 71st annual Ski Swap with all benefits going towards competitive mountain sports programs for the youth of the Treasure Valley.   2. By next fall, you will be able to SnapChat a friend or catch a video on YouTube while sitting in a Boise park without using your data limit. BoiseDev reporter Margaret Carmel reports Ann Morrison, Julia Davis and Cecil D. Andrus parks will have wireless internet up and running, offering free use for park users. (boisedev.com)
  3. The case of a sexual assault of a female jogger in Boise from 2018 has come to a close with a man possibly spending the next 45 years in prison. Boise Patch carries the news of Nicholas J. Campbell's guilty plea last Friday to felony counts of battery to commit a serious felony, infliction of great bodily injury, and destruction of evidence in connection with the 2018 attack.   4. Most Boise residents know Ustick as a road name with subdivisions and malls. FromBoise's Sharon Fisher writes Ustick, at one time, was a community of its own, complete with an electric railway. The town also included a bank, a store (the Mercantile, or Merc), church, school, civic and social functions, and a post office. The article includes some great historic photos of the town.   5. The former Boise Police chief has a little time before he starts looking for a new job. KTVB-TV staff report Ryan Lee will receive a nine-month severance package at the value of his salary with health insurance. The estimated cost to city taxpayers of the package is $147,264. (ktvb)
