The Idaho Discovery Center will soon have some new visitors, and you will soon have the chance to be "Home Alone." The state may be looking to give you back some of a record surplus on the books, and an Idaho professor will debate Bigfoot on Friday.

- A video of an ISP officer narrowly avoiding being hit by jumping out of the way of a speeding pickup is making the rounds. KLIX radio has the video released by the Idaho State Police of a scary situation taking place just outside of Boise. (News Radio 1310 KLIX)
- Boise receives many visitors daily, but Sue, one of the largest, will be here soon. CBS-2 news staff report Sue, the best-preserved T. rex fossil recorded, and other dinosaurs will soon be on display at the Idaho Discovery Center. (Idaho News)
- If you are looking to possibly get out of Boise for the holidays, a night in Winnetka, Illinois should be considered. The "Home Alone" house is being offered for a one-night only rental complete with hosting by Kevin's older brother, Buzz McCallister, according to Bruce Haring, writing for Deadline. (deadline)
- With a record budget surplus of $889 million, Idaho Capital Sun's Clark Corbin reports Idaho Governor Brad Little hinted on returning some money back to taxpayers. Little spoke at the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho conference in Boise on Wednesday. (idahocaptialsun)
