Welcome to the Friday edition of the Boise Daily. An arrest has been made from the Boise Towne Square Mall shooting after a woman was discovered removing items from a deceased body. We provide you a heads up on the popular toys for the upcoming Christmas, and an Idaho man has died from rabies. - The Boise Towne Square Mall shooting was bad enough, but now a woman has been charged with stripping jewelry, clothing and other possessions from the body of a security guard shot to death during the rampage. KTVB-TV Kaite Terhune reports Mary Alyce Scarbrough, 54, told detectives she had gone into "survival mode" and believed she was entitled to the items. (KTVB)
- Christmas shopping is upon us in Boise and experts are advising to shop early and watch shipping dates. In a special report to The Oregonian, Anna Canzano interviews Jackie Breyer, editorial director of The Toy Insider, for the top toys this upcoming holiday. (oregonlive)
- The last time it occurred was 1978, but an Idaho man has died from rabies, according to staff of CBS2-TV. (idahonews)

- Kendal Brenneman has an interesting hobby. She purchases diaries at thrift stories or auctions and attempts to reunite the books with their authors or family members. Once a person becomes infected, rabies is nearly always fatal without treatment. The number of deaths in the United States ranged from 30 to 50 per year in the 1940s but has since dropped to one to three deaths per year.
