Hello all. It's me, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily. Follow along for everything you need to know about what's going on around town.

Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Boise Daily. We start off with a warning of where not to park at Robie Creek. A wanted teenager is now in custody, and the oldest barn in the county is undergoing restoration. Finding and giving money to a favored candidate should be easy, but in Ada County sometimes involves multiple mailing addresses, anonymous names and empty fields. Finally, Boise has school board members wishing to continue serving.

Here are the top stories in Boise today:

  1. Getting out of town for a day in the mountains is great, unless your vehicle ends up towed. KTVB-TV staff warn the Boise County Sheriff's Office has, after multiple attempts at warnings, started towing those illegally parked at Robie Creek. After a day of swimming and fun, finding your vehicle missing as you plan for the drive home will place a damper on the day. (KTVB.com)
  2. After being on the run for two days, a 17-year-old Boise resident is in custody and facing charges related to firing a gun into an occupied home. CBS2 news staff report Dieu Kato was wanted by the Boise Police Department and United States Marshalls Task Force after a shooting on Tuesday evening on 34th Street. (Idaho News)
  3. Tracking money in politics is difficult. In an attempt to find the origins of $70,000 given to local Republican causes, BoiseDev Margaret Carmel encountered P.O. boxes in Eagle, empty fields, and a Middleton address that does not even exist. Carmel finds an anonymous person named Chris Nolan returned campaign donations, Tahoe Homes renamed as Blackrock Homes, and more LLCs than you can count. (BoiseDev)
  4. Just 15 minutes from downtown Boise still stands the oldest barn in Ada County and possibly the oldest barn in the state. Boise State Public Radio speaks with Frank Eld, also known as 'The Barn Whisperer.’ The barn is located on the historic Schick-Ostolasa Farmstead, the longest continuously inhabited home in Idaho. Built in the 1860s, the barn is currently in the process of restoration. (Boise State Public Radio)
  5. The Boise Daily previously informed you of the upcoming odd election date of Boise School District trustees. IdahoEdNews reporter Kevin Richert now reports the five School Board incumbents have announced they all wish to remain on the board. Three of the five incumbents currently have opposition with the candidate filing period open until July 8. (Idaho EdNews)
