The Boise Police were busy in the early Sunday morning hours with two major arrests after two shootings. One of the shootings resulted in the death of the victim. If you want to view hot-air balloons, wait one year as the finale of the Boise Balloon Classic occurred Sunday. For commuters, a group has spent almost two years making the Connector colorful. Here are the top stories in Boise today:

  1. The Boise Police have released information regarding the arrest of a 20-year old Meridian man, Timmothy Morgan and a charge of Second Degree Murder. The charges stem from an shooting incident in downtown Boise in the early morning hours of Sunday. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Just an hour previous to the downtown incident, Boise resident Ethan Byrd, 26, was arrested in a separate incident on Miller St and charged with Aggravated Battery after a victim was shot in the leg. (Press Release Desk)
  3. The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic wrapped up Sunday with 44 balloons taking to the Boise skies at once. KIVI-TV and Anna Azallion spoke with one the pilots and how flying a balloon is started. (6 On Your Side)
  4. A group of volunteers is almost complete in making your morning commute more colorful. Shirah Matsuzawa and KTVB-TV report on the new mural on the Connector. (KTVB.com)
  5. The City of Boise wants to remind all of no trash, recycling or compost collection will occur on Monday, September 6. As a result, collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. View the holiday collection schedule. Many city services and facilities, including all Boise Public Library locations, City Hall and City Hall West, will be closed on Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day. Zoo Boise, Boise City Parks, Cemeteries, Quail Hollow and Warm Springs Golf Courses, will be open.
