Here are the top stories in Boise today:
- Purchasing a used car has a historical bad reputation and this story may perpetuate the bad feeling. KTVB-TV's Andrew Baertlein reports a Boise car dealership faces a lawsuit of selling cars to over 30 people, vehicles without a title. ByrdDawg Motors has a number of former customers looking for titles and the owner, Adam Bain, has a warrant out for his arrest after failing to appear for a court hearing. (KTVB.com)
- If the Albertsons/Kroger merger takes place, chances are your grocery shopping in Boise will occur in a merged store. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes a combined Albertsons/Kroger would control 48 percent of the Boise grocery market. As it stands now, the two chains sold $1.26 billion of groceries in the local area. (boisedev.com)
- As Idaho continues to struggle with finding lethal chemicals to carry out executions, the Idaho Legislature may have a solution. CBS2 news staff report a bill would add firing squad as a secondary means when the drugs are not available. (idahonews)
- Gas station food may not have the best reputation but here is a new take. The BoiseWeekly's Jeanne Huff reports a local service station offers a gummy pizza, gummy sushi, gummy sandwiches and a gummy taco. (boiseweekly)
- A former Caldwell police lieutenant sentenced to three months in federal prison has appealed his conviction. KIVI-TV staff report lawyers for Joseph Hoadley filed a notice of appeal on his conviction of witness tampering by harassment, falsifying a record or document in a federal investigation, and destroying a record to impair its use in an official proceeding.
