  1. Monday is the day for an update on the Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow Daybell case. EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Easton reports Vallow Daybell is requesting her charges be dismissed due to too much time in jail without a trial. Vallow Daybell claims her right to a speedy trial has been violated even with her time in a mental facility due to competency issues. If the trial goes on as scheduled on April 3 of this year, Vallow Daybell will have spent 1,169 days in jail. Chad Daybell's attorney has also issued two subpoenas-one for an attorney of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a second for victim Joshua Jaxon Vallow's school records. Both have been charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan – two of Lori’s children – along with Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell. 3. The Meridian Costco will soon have a new neighbor. BoiseDev reporter Autum Robertson writes KeyBank is building in the empty lot next to the Dutch Bros and Costco in Meridian. The bank will include a drive-through and ATM. (boisedev)
  4. Boise already has the Broncos, the Steelheads and the Hawks. KTVB-TV's Maggie O'Mara now introduces the Gem State Falcons, a National Wheelchair Basketball Association team. The co-ed team has already made trips to Spokane, Sacramento, and Tucson for tournament play and will host their own tournament on Feb. 18 and 19. (ktvb)
