Here are the top stories today in Boise:

  1. In just seven weeks, Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell will be in Boise to face a jury trial on multiple counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan – two of Lori’s children – and Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell. According to EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Eaton, last week attorneys for all sides gathered with a number of motions. Vallow Daybell's attorney is asking all charges against Lori be dismissed as she has not had a speedy trial. Her attorneys are also asking they be allowed to ask questions of potential jurors, including views on the LDS religion. Daybell's attorney is asking for more time prior to the trial to review incoming evidence and DNA results. (eastidahonews)
