  1. As typical, Boise Patch brings you the week's updates in the Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow Daybell cases. EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Eaton forwards a number of updates this week. In a number of motions, lawyers for Vallow Daybell says her children died in her brother's apartment. She also is asking to meet with her husband for "strategy sessions". Finally, Vallow Daybell does not qualify for the death penalty according to a motion. The two are charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan – two of Lori’s children – along with Chad’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell. Chad Daybell's attorney is asking the court to reschedule the upcoming trial to April 2024. (eastidahonews)
  2. A domestic disturbance in Caldwell ended in the death of two men at the home. KTVB-TV staff report officers arrived at the home Friday morning to find two men, both with multiple stab wounds. One man was declared dead at the scene and the other died at a local hospital. Law enforcement is calling the incident domestic violence related. (KTVB)
  3. A new week means Boise Patch introducing five new properties in Boise looking for new owners. (Boise Patch)
  4. If you are looking to rent an apartment in Boise, prices are falling some. BoiseDev editor Don Day writes the average apartment rent price in Boise rose just five percent last year and actually slid the last five months of the year. Looking at the average price in Boise, ApartmentList.com states December saw $1,342 per month. In June of 2022, the average stood at $1,437. Remember the days of February of 2020 when the average stood at $975 per month. (boisedev)
