The Boise Daily runs the gamut today from vandalism to ground turkey. The Boise mayor has issued her statement on the recent vandalism to a homeless shelter.   1. Boise Mayor Lauren McLean has issued a statement regarding a recent act of vandalism at the Boise Interfaith Sanctuary homeless shelter. CBS2 staff recount the mayor's response to vandals placing a red "do not" sign over top of the Interfaith Sanctuary's sign which reads, "You are welcome here." (Idaho News)
  2. Are you confused over the upcoming local elections? For the first time, Boise voters will elect council positions by precinct and added to all that confusion, a wastewater bond is also on the ballot.   3. After convictions on numerous criminal charges and sexual harassment allegations, many struggle to return back to life, rebuilding a career, and holding on to old friends. For John McGee, the transition appears to have gone smoothly as the former Idaho legislator is now running for mayor of Caldwell.   5. If you have ground turkey in the freezer, you may want to check it. Food & Wine's Alex Loh reports Butterball has issued a recall on 14,000 pounds of ground turkey after reports of plastic pieces were found. The recall involves meat purchased at Fred Meyer stores. (foodandwine)
