Hello all. I'm back with your new edition of the Boise Daily. Here's everything you need to know about what's happening in town.
Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Boise Daily. We start the weekend off right with a guide for you to not be delayed due to road construction in your area. Multiple agencies were busy in Meridian after an officer-involved shooting and take a step back 30 years with the Boise Tour Train. Our own "CSI-Boise" has received accreditation and a Boise pastor is picking up views on YouTube after his sermon on homosexuality.

Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- Driving around Boise can sometimes be irritating, but with the summer upon us, chip sealing is here. CBS2 news staff provide a map of the upcoming chip sealing schedule for the summer including a website, updated daily, on the location of those crews slowing you down. Remember to slow down as to not kick up the oil used in the sealing process. Once dry, the oil is a pain to get off your car's paint job. (Idaho News)
- An incident starting in Garden City ended in Meridian and involved a shooting, a stolen vehicle, a car chase and an arrest of one man. KTVB-TV's Ryan Hatten and Tristan Lewis were present during a joint press conference of Meridian and Boise Police updating the situation from Thursday afternoon. The unidentified suspect was transported to a local hospital after an exchange of gunfire resulted in his injuries. (KTVB)
- For this next story, we go back 30 years when Boise streets could be seen with a miniature train chugging along, complete with a conductor pointing out to the riders points of interest in the capital city. BoiseDev editor Don Day found a YouTube video of Boise's Tour Train, a popular attraction during the summer for visitors and also for school field trips at the time. One part of the video shows the Fun Depot in Julia Davis Park, another popular attraction from days past. (boisedev)
- The Boise Police Department is celebrating as the agency's crime lab recently received international accreditation. Boise Patch carries the news the forensic arm of local law enforcement is now accredited through 2024. (Boise Patch)
- A Boise pastor has received national attention after stating in a sermon shown on YouTube, "Put all queers to death." The Boise Weekly's Tracy Bringhurst writes Joe Jones, pastor at Shield Baptist Church in Boise also stated "sodomites are reptilians." Bringhurst's story also mentions the church's website states "No sodomite (homosexual) will be allowed to attend or join Shield of Faith Baptist Church." (boiseweekly)
