Daybell had a number of motions heard before District Judge Steven Boyce including a request to delay the scheduled January trial until October 2023. Daybell's attorney also requested a transcript of previous grand jury hearing and a motion to separate the trials of the married couple will be heard Nov. 10. (eastidahonews)
  2. A Boise fire will likely burn for a number of days. KTVB-TV staff report over 200 tons of hay burned Saturday night at the end of Maple Grove, just south of Lake Hazel Rd. While the blaze was brought under control and extinguished, smoldering hay will likely send out smoke over the next couple days. (ktvb)

  5. The business media is all over the proposed merger between Boise's own Albertsons and Kroger, a deal estimated at $24 billion, the largest merger ever in the grocery industry. KIDI-AM's Kevin Miller looks a five reasons the merger should not take place. Included are the loss of the company's headquarters in Boise, a loss of grocery stores in Boise, renaming our football stadium to Kroger Stadium, and the possible loss to charities if the Albertson's Open becomes a thing of the past.
