  1. Boise State University is saying recent layoffs will not impact classrooms. KIVI-TV's Brendyn Jones reports the layoffs of four full-time and two part-time positions in the school's Human Resources Department will not effect students and took place as a cost-cutting measure.   2. Boise must love bagels. FromBoise's Marissa reports four new bagel shops have opened recently to meet the need for Boise's appetite for the round delicacy. In addition to bagels, bialys is also on the menu. (fromboise)

  4. After 19 years of making your mornings easier, BoiseDev editor Don Day reports Ken Bass was laid off from 94.9 The River this week. Bass has a long history with Boise radio including stints with K-106 (now known as Mix 106) and Lite 108. (boisedev)
  5. Finally, a disturbing story out of the Caldwell School District. CBS2 news staff report Ettson Arreola was a substitute teacher at Syringa Middle School. Charges state Arreola encouraged and videotaped students fighting in the classroom, posting the video on social media. After an investigation, he was was arrested on four counts of injury to a child, one count of inciting a riot, and four counts of violation of the juvenile corrections act, encouraging a minor to fight.
