- Wackerli Subaru made a generous donation of $10,000 and supply kits to Dora Erickson Elementary School, benefiting over 25 teachers and 480 students. The donation was part of Subaru's nationwide effort to support education through its partnership with adoptaclassroom.org. The teachers and students expressed gratitude for the donation, which helps alleviate financial stress on teachers and the school while showing strong community support for education. (Post Register)
- After months of being missing, an SUV was found submerged in the Snake River in Idaho Falls by the Bonneville County Sheriffβs Aquatic Rescue Team. The discovery was prompted by a man who found a license plate near the vehicle and contacted the authorities, leading to the recovery of the GMC Envoy. The SUV had been driven into the river by an intoxicated man about a year ago, and its location remained unknown until now. (East Idaho News)
- Sully's GastroPub is taking over the space previously occupied by Happy Chinese Restaurant in downtown Idaho Falls. The former Chinese restaurant closed on Jul. 29, and now Jeff and Kristina Sullivan, who previously operated a food truck called Sully's Lunchbox, have moved in. Their new establishment offers a diverse menu of 11 burgers, four sandwiches, Japanese and Asian dishes, and other items, aiming to bring a variety of unique flavors to the community while preserving the historical feel of the early 1900s building.
