  1. A shooting occurred early Saturday morning at the Garfield Apartments on North Fanning Avenue, leading to one individual being hospitalized, according to Lt. Robert Lasher of the Idaho Falls Police Department. The victim's identity has not been disclosed. An ongoing investigation is underway. (East Idaho News)
  2. A stranded driver who had driven off a mountain ridge in Bonneville County was rescued by authorities on Saturday after emergency calls were received. The rescue operation involved around 15 Search and Rescue volunteers, backcountry deputies, and emergency services personnel, responding to the Skyline Ridge near Brockman Road. The driver, who had been stranded overnight, remarkably sustained relatively minor injuries and was transported by ambulance as a precaution, with praise given to the hunters who first located the car and assisted in the rescue effort.   3. The Rigby Police Department responded to an incident at the Dollar Tree parking lot in nearby Rigby, where a 75-year-old woman from Rexburg accidentally accelerated instead of braking while parking her 2020 Ford Explorer, causing the vehicle to jump the curb and damage the building's corner. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the driver or anyone else on the scene. The incident resulted in exterior damage to the Dollar Tree building. (LocalNews8.com)
