- The 22nd edition of the Roaring Youth Jam, organized by the Idaho Falls Arts Council, will hold a three-day celebration focused on unleashing artistic creativity. Centered around a carnival theme, children can engage in various art projects like watercolor popcorn and carnival windsocks. The event offers entertainment such as stilt-walkers, jugglers, and acrobats, while also introducing a "Toddler Tent" for parents and little ones. Taking place from Aug. 10-12, the event will coincide with the Idaho Falls Farmer's Market. (East Idaho News)
- On Monday JM Concrete temporarily closed John Adams Parkway between Linden Drive and Lincoln Drive for water main improvements. The road closure is expected to last until Friday, Aug. 11, during which traffic will be rerouted via 1st Street and 9th Street. Pedestrian sidewalk access and property entry will be maintained, but drivers are advised to follow traffic control signs and reduce speeds in the work area.(Local News 8)
- The Razorβs Edge Boxing Club in Idaho Falls is preparing for the fifth annual "Rumble in the Jungle" tournament at the Joe Marmo/Wayne Lehto Ice Arena in Tautphaus Park. The event taking place on Aug. 12, will feature sparring between kids from various age groups and boxing clubs. The highlight of the tournament is a rematch between Martin Gordo of Rexburg and Martin Caro from Middleton, with Gordo seeking to defend his state golden gloves victory from earlier this year. (East Idaho News)
