Eric Laughridge photographed this colorful scene at Settlers Park in Plainfield.
Carol Rehmann and her granddaughter, 2, were enjoying a "leaf party" when she got this photo in Romeoville. "So many trees, so many leaves, she couldn’t see her boots," Rehmann tells us. "She is still raking leaves as I type this."
Al Benson photographed Cynthia Harbin of Yorkville, Julia Tittsworth, of Naperville, and Felecite Williams, of Yorkville, "singing" with voices and American sign language at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora. He tells us they were among eight members of a signing choir from Aurora's St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church who performed at an annual Aurora Thanksgiving interfaith worship service. Mary Hawkins, of Waukegan, directed.
