Rainy Week Ahead For Chicago Area

A cloudy, and rainy at times, week is ahead for the Chicago area. Sun will start the week, but "give way to increasing cloudiness [Monday] afternoon," the National Weather Service Chciago shared on its Facebook.

"After [Monday] morning, we may not see the sun again until late in the week or this weekend," the weather service added.

Monday will have a high of 52, and there is a chance of rain late Monday into Tuesday. Tuesday will have a high of 47, and again, there is a chance of rain, according to the weather service.

"Temperatures typical for mid-November can be expected over the next few days," the weather service said.

Wednesday will have a high of 47 and Thursday a high of 56. Thursday also has a chance of rain during the day and into the night. Friday will have a high of 50 degrees, and there is again a chance of rain, according to the current forecast.

MONDAY: Increasing clouds, with a high near 47. Calm wind.

MONDAY NIGHT: Rain, mainly after 1 a.m. Low around 37. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

TUESDAY: Occasional rain or drizzle, mainly before noon. High near 42. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Cloudy, with a low around 38. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy, with a high near 47. East southeast wind around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

THURSDAY: A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Rain likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.
