These Are The Best Schools In IL: 2023 Rankings

ILLINOIS — Throughout the year, various publications release “best of” lists to help guide Illinois residents’ educational choices, from the best elementary schools to the best colleges and universities to pursue a graduate degree.

Illinois figured prominently in several data analyses and study-driven rankings for education, from U.S. News & World Report, Niche, Newsweek, and others. Some highlights:

According to U.S. News, Illinois boasts several of the best high, middle, and elementary schools. Five Illinois public high schools, paced by Payton College Prep in Chicago, which ranks as the 10th best public high school in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report, and the fourth top public school in the country according to Niche.
