Teen Charged After Crashing Car Into House, Injuring 2: Police
The incident happened Friday night at a home near Boyer Road and Eineke Boulevard in Algonquin.
ALGONQUIN, IL — A juvenile faces charges after driving a car into a home in Algonquin on Friday night.
One person inside the home was injured in the incident, which happened at a home near Boyer Road and Eineke Boulevard at about 9:55 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release from the Algonquin Police Department.
Police said a vehicle left the road and hit the south side of a home on Eineke Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and a passenger in the vehicle, who was also injured, was taken to the hospital, according to a news release.

The juvenile was later brought to the Algonquin Police Department by a parent and taken into custody. The juvenile has been charged with reckless driving, failure to remain at the scene of a personal injury accident, driving without ever having been issued a driver's license, speeding, driving too fast for conditions and disobeying a stop sign.
Following the incident, police are urging parents to talk to their children, and especially those new to driving, about the importance of safe and lawful driving.

"Families and guardians play an important role in helping young drivers understand the responsibilities that come with being behind the wheel," according to a news release from the police department. "Due to the age of the individual involved, no additional identifying information will be released."
