Aurora Man Charged With Attempted Armed Robbery Of Pizza Restaurant
The 21-year-old pulled a handgun on an employee and demanded cash; he was a regular customer at the pizza restaurant.

AURORA, IL – A 21-year-old Aurora man was charged with attempted armed robbery of a downtown pizza restaurant where he was a regular customer.
Sean W. Bastert, of the 100 block of West Galena Boulevard, entered the restaurant on the first block of West New York Street May 18 at about 12:05 a.m. with his head concealed and wearing a blue windbreaker when he pulled a handgun on an employee and demanded cash, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The employee ran and hid without any injuries, and Bastert left without taking anything.

Bastert was charged for a single count of attempted armed robbery by Aurora Police through the Kane County State’s Attorney. He is currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Kane County Correctional Center in St. Charles.
The charges against Bastert are not proof of guilt.
