Aurora Man Enters Guilty Plea To Involuntary Servitude Of Women: State's Attorney
The 32-year-old Aurora man pleaded guilty to six counts of involuntary servitude — one for each victim.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to involuntary servitude of women.
Jamar R. Hare, 32, entered a guilty plea to six counts of involuntary servitude before Judge David Kliment. Each count is for a different victim, prosecutors said.
During 2020 and 2021, men paid Hare for sexual acts from women he had "under the defendant's control" at a residence in Aurora. Hare used illegal drugs, threats and force to force the women — all over the age of 18 — into providing sexual acts, Assistant State’s Attorney Matthew Rodgers shared in court.

Hare, of the 500 block of Jackson Street in Aurora, received six sentences of 13 years each, but they are to be served concurrently, officials said. He is eligible for day-for-day sentencing, which means that for good behavior, he can have one day taken off his sentence for each day served. He was also credited for the 270 days served in the Kane County jail.
"The defendant used illegal drugs and the threat of violence to exploit the victims/survivors in this case for his personal gain," Rodgers said in a statement. "Fortunately, they had the strength and courage to come forward and hold him accountable. My thanks to Detective Benjamin Grabowski of the Aurora Police Department for his exhaustive work on this case."
