Local Volunteers Needed For MLK Day Of Service

Ten Aurora spots are looking for volunteers Jan. 15, most for an hour time slot.

AURORA, IL — If you're looking to volunteer without making a commitment, the City of Aurora has opportunities to make a difference in the community. To model Dr. King's example of service, ten Aurora institutions are offering mostly one-hour volunteer slots Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Day.

Senior centers, libraries, places of worship and more are looking for help. Volunteers can sign up by clicking the links below.

After participating in the Day of Service, volunteers will be recognized at the Annual MLK Ceremony at 6 p.m. at West Aurora High School, 1201 W. New York St.
