Aurorans During WWI: A Memorial Exhibit At The David L. Pierce Art And History Center
"With the Colors From Aurora: A Memorial to the First World War," is on display until January 2018.

AURORA, IL - The David L. Pierce Art and History Center is featuring a WWI memorial exhibit, "With the Colors From Aurora: A Memorial to the First World War," at 20 E. Downer Place until January 6, 2018.
The exhibit aims to show what war was like for the Aurorans who went off to fight in WWI, as well the daily living for those who stayed back home.
It features over 80 artifacts including photography, personal diaries, uniforms, machine guns, gas masks, weaponry, battle art, mess kits, and a Red Cross surgeon's kit. There is also a full-scale 18-foot replica of a trench which visitors can enter.

The exhibit will be open, free of charge, Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. until January 6, 2018.
