Aurora's Last Public Art Exhibit Of 2024 Features K-12 Students
"Winter Garden of Youth" features about 200 drawings, paintings and sculptures made by Aurora's students.

AURORA, IL — Aurora's final public art exhibit of 2024, featuring artwork from local students, opened Friday at the Aurora Public Art gallery.
An annual tradition, "Winter Garden of Youth" puts on display about 200 pieces of art — from sculptures to paintings and drawings — made by students at Aurora K-12 schools.
"Now in its 26th year, Winter Garden is always a favorite exhibit," Public Art Project Assistant Sangeeta Pande said in a statement. "It's a joy to see proud families and smiling students taking photos with their artwork on formal display."

The exhibit's opening reception, free to attend, is planned from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the David L. Pierce Art & History Center, located at 20 E. Downer Place in downtown Aurora.
The "Winter Garden of Youth" exhibit will run through Jan. 11. Gallery hours are from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
